The Callings

Sean padded into the Calling's clearing. Sean scented the air, then layed down, with his pack mates following his steps. As Ren sat down beside him, he spoke quietly. Is this just a trap so we can kill them? Ren's coldness made Sean growl. No, this is simply a meeting. He responded, sending him a cold glare.

Clairre slowly moved to the clearing her ears pricked and her nose twitching. Are you sure it's not a trap?Madison whinned. Clairre shook her head,I'm not sure of anything, but be on the lookout for any signs of trouble, we're Nightshades and we can fight. Each of her packmates nodded. Clairre saw the clearing and stepped around a bush, walking out.

A smile crawled over Sean's face. Why, hello Nightshades. He said politely, the edge in his voice was clear. Ren's muscles tensed up, then loosened when he heard his leader's edge. He was still not afraid to jump them if he had to, and wasn't showing them the complete kindness and trust that he would with his own pack. Max kept his eyes fixed on Madison, watching her body language as if searching for who should would attack if it came to that.

Clairre nodded a greeting, her eyes trained on Max and Ren,Hello Banes. Madison glared at Max, her hackles raised slightly until Clairre threw her a look. Madison sat down, her eyes still narrowed at Max. Clairre settled down and nodded at Sean,You can talk first, if you like.

Max kept his blue gaze locked on Madison, until Sean spoke. As you know, we're gathered here today for both packs to discuss Efron's behavior. Correct or incorrect? He stood tall and would not show any weakness.

Clairre lifted her chin, ignoring the flash of uneasiness every time she heard Efron's name,Correct, now what happened yesterday with him?She asked.

Sean turned to Sabine and nodded to her. She went in front and sat. As you already know, Efron has been taking girls, human girls. But now, he's changed his intrests, again. She nodded to Kelsey who walked up. He's focusing on his pack females, instead. Including us. Kelsey added, mimicking Sabine's courage.

Clairre's wolf form frowned slightly as she looked at Kelsey and Sabine. She had never liked them, but she knew it was wrong for this to happen to anyone. Glancing back at Bryn and Madison who looked openly shocked while the others protective, she swore to protect them the best she could. Turning her attention back to Sean she asked,What did that have to do with the cave?

Sean's muscles stiffened and Kelsey and Sabine walked back to Ren's side, while Max sat besides Sean. There are Bane females hiding there...For the safety and they're claiming they're dead. We've been asked by our allies to help them. We help them, they'll help us. Sean replied, hiding the anger in his voice. Max nodded and added; Efron doesn't know about them being there, and they are almost completely safe, as long as there are no wraiths snooping around. Sean nodded to Max, and he quickly sat back down. That was the reason we were hiding it. He moved his gaze to the sky.

Clairre stiffened and looked at Bryn and Madison again, My pack should find a hiding place for our females to...She muttered, quietly. Corin drew close to Bryn's side and Blake drew close to Madison.

Ren shook his head There's no need. You are Lumine's packs, Efron can't touch you, it's against everything the keepers have set up.. Ren looked over to Max and glared at him And by 'default' we belong to Efron Bane. Max snarled right back, his fur bristling. Sean flashed his fangs at them as a warning and they quickly calmed down. It's not Max's fault who he's related to, so just drop it. He growled, his yellow eyes sending them both a cold stare.

Clairre pricked her ears and watched them silently, then nodded,If there's anyway we can help we'll try.She said. Blake looked up,Why should we help them?He argued,They aren't exactly friendly to us.He glared at Ren, until Clairre drew his attention with a growl,It concerns all of us, if somehow Efron got to one of us, even though he probably won't, we would want help too.

Sabine narrowed her eyes at Blake. As he heard the displeasure of everything from his pack, he flicked his tail to the left, making them silent instantly. If this is all we need to speak of, then we're finished here. He dismissed his pack, and lead them out of the Calling, heading down the hill at a swift pace.

Clairre stood and left without a word, her packmates hurrying after her. Clairre flicked her tail forward, signaling for her packmates to go ahead of her. They ran forward and dissapeared into the forest while she changed into human form and tilted her head to the sky while she walked.

Take them back to the school, I'll be there to meet you soon. He said to Ren, he nodded and lead the pack to the school swiftly. Sean shifted and walked over to Clairre. "Why'd you stop?" He asked, and raised his eyebrow at her.

She crossed her arms behind her back,"Nothing just...thinking."She muttered, beginning to walk again.

"About." He said, it wasn't really a question as it was meant to be. He put his arms behind his head, and looked up at the clouds that were slowly moving past.

She sighed,"About everything really, nothing in particular if you know what I mean." She said, gazing up at the sky.

He dropped his arms and looked at her questioningly. "Don't think too hard about everything." He said, a hint of humor in his voice.

She glanced at him and smiled,"Kind of hard not to when it seems like everything happens at the same time,"She shrugged,"But you're right, no reason thinking about everything at once."

He smiled victoriously and scratched his head. "Or you could not worrying about anything at all." He said, picking up a small rock and fidgeting with it. "There's nothing you really need to worry about, in the first place."

She paused as she continued to walk, completely silent. She sighed again, closing her eyes for awhile.

He blinked, noticing she closed her eyes, he paused. "Please don't cry again." He said frantically, "It freaks me out."

She blinked open her eyes, and started to laugh,"I'm not going to cry crazy." She teased. "Though maybe I should, it's fun seeing you freak out."She said, with a sly smile.

He sighed and slumped his shoulders. "Not funny." He growled and crossed his arms.
